Is Breakfast Important?

Breakfast literally means “break the fast”. It is the first meal that your child will have after 8 hours or so of fasting while they sleep. Many say that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. And yes, they are right!

According to food and nutritional experts, having breakfast improves children’s school performance and presents many other benefits! Below is a list of some of the benefits of breakfasts:

#1 – Increased Concentration

With nutrients and energy from a healthy breakfast, your child is less likely to become restless and fidgety in class. Children who skip breakfast tend to get hungry before lunchtime. This would cause restlessness because the only thing that would be on their minds is the ring of the recess bell.

#2 – Better Grades

With increased concentration, your child will have increased attention span in class. Feed your child with yummy and nutritious breakfasts to allow them to perform well in school and do you proud.

#3 – Maintain A Healthy Weight

An empty stomach, with more hours to go before lunch, will tend to snack on sugary and high calorie foods to ease hunger pangs. Similarly, there is also a tendency to overeat during lunch if children skip breakfast. To prevent these unwanted calories, give your child a nutritious and yummy breakfast! With so many benefits, breakfast is indeed the most important meal of the day if you want your child to focus and do well in school. Remember to prepare a nutritious breakfast before sending them off to school. Everyone needs a “breakfast for the champions” to ace in life!
